This is so much fun! I've made a couple pairs myself and I always get people asking me where I bought them :D so here's how to make your own: ★☆ what you will need : • a pair of high waisted jeans ( I usually get mine from a thrift store or a goodwill. If you get them from a thrift store or goodwill, !!! wash them first!!!! You never know who had worn them before you. ) •Scissors •A pencil
★☆Okay here we go:
☆Step 1- Lay the jeans out and get an idea of how they look and how you want them too look.
★Step 2- Put them on and measure where you want to cut. This is really important!!!!!!! It really depends on how you want them to look. do you want them super short? School appropriate length so you can wear them to school?
☆ Step3- draw a line with the pencil on the jeans where you are going to cut for the length. You might want to cut it on the diagonal because it looks better than a straight line.
★Step4- Snip away! Don’t worry about making it perfect. I ended up fraying mine or rolling mine up, so any messy edges are hidden, and they actually look cuter a bit messy.
☆Step5- Cut one leg at a time because most scissors aren't strong enough to cut through both at once, and they may end up being extremely uneven if you cut both at the same time. Make sure the jeans are lined up nicely.
★Step6- Fold them over…& follow the same line as the other leg.
☆Step7- The fun part! Take your scissors and snip slices into the jeans. Now you can do this in however way you want, this is the destroying part of the process. Like the ombre shorts pic in the set, that's what it should look like. I usually do snips on the pockets, front legs, belt loops, back pocket, etc... After snipping, throw them in the washer and then the dryer with the usual laundry load. When they come out the should be frayed and destroyed, just like how you buy them at the store.
★☆ Well that's it! I hope you have fun making them ! Please comment thoughts! And if you have any more questions just message me :D
